Sell Your Accounts

For many clients the right answer is to sell their smaller accounts to us on either a spot or forward flow basis. The process is fairly straight-forward and typically takes four to six weeks to complete.

Initial Valuation

Following the preliminary identification of a prospective portfolio, CAPITAL will ask a few questions to understand your billing and collection procedures. One of our associates can usually gather the necessary information by telephone in less than 30 minutes.

We will also need a data file with basic information about each account to be sold that will enable us to better understand the portfolio so that we can calculate a fair price for the accounts. The data file may come directly from your organization or from one of your outside collection agencies. We can work directly with your collection agency to work out a mutually agreeable data layout and transmission method. With this basic information in hand, within ten days we will provide an offer letter and price for both your warehoused and forward flow accounts.

Due Diligence

We typically will conduct a short due diligence on the portfolio, with its extensiveness depending on the nature of the accounts you wish to sell and our familiarity with the accounts and your operation. Sometimes we will want to visit your site to understand your processes, how the accounts have been worked, and availability of media.

Account Sale Agreement

Having completed our due diligence and finalized the deal points, we will prepare an Account Sale Agreement for your review and our mutual execution.

Closing

A smooth closing requires smooth coordination between our staff and yours. We'll set up introductions with our internal service staff and yours to ensure a seamless process. Once we have the signed Account Sale Agreement and a placement file from you that includes all the information needed for us to service the accounts, we will wire you the purchase amount.

Our goal is for this process to be as efficient as possible, particularly with regard to your employees' time. Our objective is to close and fund the sale within 14 days of your acceptance.
